Terms & Conditions

2026

The basics

By booking a session or package with me, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Once a booking is made, these Terms & Conditions form a binding agreement between you and me as your coach.

I've kept these terms clear and jargon-free, in line with how I work and how I prefer to communicate with clients.

Intake form

Completion of my intake form is mandatory before your first session. This helps me understand your background, current situation, any potential contraindications, and relevant health information so I can support you safely and appropriately.

Your session will not go ahead until the intake form has been received and reviewed.

What I offer

I am a qualified Breathwork and Mindfulness Coach. My services are coaching and educational in nature.

This work is designed for people who are currently stable enough to engage in skills-based coaching. It is not suitable during periods of acute or severe mental health distress that require specialist clinical support.

This service is coaching and educational in nature. It is intended to complement, not replace, psychotherapy, medical care, or respiratory assessment by a qualified professional.

By participating, you acknowledge that you are responsible for your own wellbeing during and between sessions.

If you're unsure whether this approach is appropriate for you right now, the best place to start is a brief screening conversation so we can talk it through.

Booking, scheduling, and payment

All sessions and session packages must be booked and paid for in full to secure a booking. No session or package is confirmed until payment has been received.

Packages are ordinarily scheduled on a weekly or fortnightly basis and completed within an agreed timeframe, (usually two months) unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Cancellations, rescheduling, and refunds

I understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise. If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, a minimum of 24 hours' notice is required.

Cancellations or rescheduling requests made within 24 hours of the scheduled session time are not eligible for a refund or credit and may be treated as used.

In exceptional circumstances, a late cancellation may be considered at my sole discretion. Any decision to offer a refund, credit, or rescheduled session is discretionary and does not create an obligation or precedent.

If I need to cancel or reschedule a session, I will provide as much notice as reasonably possible and offer an alternative session time.

Single sessions are non-refundable once attended.

Where a session package has been purchased and you choose to cancel before completion of the entire program, refunds will apply only to unused sessions of that session package.

Any refund will be calculated on a pro-rata basis at the standard single-session rate and adjusted to account for any package discount applied (if applicable)

Breathwork

Breathwork can be a powerful practice. By choosing to participate, you confirm that you consider yourself to be in suitable physical and mental health to do so.

If you are enrolling in a programme that includes breathwork, you must inform me before your first session of any relevant medical or psychological conditions that may affect your ability to participate safely. This includes, but is not limited to cardiovascular conditions, epilepsy or seizure disorders, a history of psychosis, pregnancy, respiratory conditions, or any other condition that may reasonably be relevant.

If you are unsure whether breathwork is appropriate for you, you are advised to consult your GP or another qualified healthcare professional before beginning.

I reserve the right to pause, modify, or decline any session if, in my reasonable judgement, continuing would pose a risk to your safety or wellbeing. Where appropriate, I may recommend a mindfulness-only programme instead.

This work is non-clinical coaching. It is not therapy, medical treatment, or a substitute for professional healthcare.

Why Safety is Important

Some aspects of this work, particularly active or activating breathwork, may not be suitable for everyone. For safety reasons, the breathwork components of my programmes may not be appropriate if any of the following apply at the time of participation.

If you are uncertain, you should seek advice from your GP, therapist, or another relevant healthcare professional before starting.

Breathwork may not be appropriate if you are currently experiencing, or have a history of:

  • A current mental health crisis, active suicidal ideation, or severe psychological distress

  • Psychosis, schizophrenia, or significant dissociative disorders

  • Epilepsy or other seizure disorders

  • Diagnosed cardiovascular disease, uncontrolled blood pressure, or a history of stroke

  • The acute phase of complex trauma recovery, or active trauma processing with a psychotherapist

  • Respiratory conditions such as severe asthma, COPD, or long COVID that significantly affect breathing

  • Pregnancy, unless prior clearance has been obtained from a midwife or obstetrician

The presence of any of the above does not automatically mean that all services are unsuitable. In many cases, a mindfulness-only pathway may still be appropriate, as it does not involve intentional breath manipulation or activating techniques.
